Wonderful Wedding (part 2)

After the nibbles were nibbled and the champagne was sipped we slipped below to the bottom deck where the dining area was set up. It was a fairy wonderland in the wedding theme colours of fuchsia and tangerine.  Japonica blossoms with little fairy lights lit up each table and in a little nest of a pink satin napkin was a pink gerbera sitting on top of a little box with our names on them. The box was filled with sugared almonds and pearls. If you were a lady you also had a fan beside your setting, a thoughtful and useful idea, let me tell you.
The food was absolutely delicious especially if you liked seafood. Lobster filled ravioli, coconut crusted mahimahi (a firm white fish) with pineapple salsa. tender, rare beef steak with various mushrooms and greens. Our fromage course was skipped because Julie felt it was time to dance, and of course she was right. Up to the middle deck where a DJ had set up and away we went. When we were tired (I'm not as dance fit as I once was) we wandered outside onto the fly deck and let the warm wind soothe us.
Coffee and French pastries were served along with an ice cream wedding cake and we were truly satiated. Not even a wafer thin mouthful, thanks.
It was a magical evening and over too soon.

Once I have access to more photos I will post them.

  1. A true fairy tale wedding. So colourful and exotic! Thanks for the food diary. It sounds like it was a feast fit for a KIng. Loved it all thanks Nicki xx
